These Terms & Conditions govern your use of LinguaReaders (linguareaders.com), operated by Education by Shala Books Inc. ("we", "us", or "our"), based in British Columbia, Canada. By accessing or using LinguaReaders, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Use of the Platform
LinguaReaders is an educational platform providing graded readers and supporting resources for FSL and ESL classrooms. You may use LinguaReaders for personal, educational, and non-commercial purposes only.
You agree not to:
- Copy, download, reproduce, or redistribute any content from LinguaReaders without written permission.
- Share your account credentials with others.
- Use LinguaReaders in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.
- Attempt to access areas of the platform you are not authorized to use.
- Use automated tools to scrape or extract content from the platform.
2. Accounts
To access certain features of LinguaReaders you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account and to keep that information up to date. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
3. Free Trial
LinguaReaders may offer a free trial period to allow you to explore the platform before subscribing. The scope and duration of the free trial may change at any time. No payment information is required to start a free trial at this time.
4. Subscriptions and Payments
Paid subscription and purchase options are not yet available. When they become available, additional terms related to billing, cancellations, and refunds will be added to this page and you will be notified. Any future purchases will be subject to the pricing and terms in effect at the time of purchase.
5. Intellectual Property
All content on LinguaReaders — including but not limited to the graded readers, audio recordings, illustrations, worksheets, discussion guides, and program materials — is the property of Education by Shala Books Inc. and is protected by Canadian and international copyright law.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any LinguaReaders content without our express written permission. Content accessed through a subscription or purchase is licensed for personal and classroom use only and may not be shared beyond your immediate classroom.
6. Use in Schools and Classrooms
Teachers and school administrators who create accounts or assign LinguaReaders to students are responsible for ensuring appropriate use within their classrooms and for complying with any applicable school or district policies regarding technology use. Teachers are also responsible for obtaining any required parental consent before assigning student accounts.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
LinguaReaders is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the platform will be available at all times, free of errors, or that content will meet every educational requirement. We reserve the right to modify, update, or remove content and features at any time.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Education by Shala Books Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of LinguaReaders. Our total liability for any claim related to the platform shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months prior to the claim.
9. Privacy
Your use of LinguaReaders is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms & Conditions by reference.
10. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of British Columbia.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time, particularly as subscription and payment features are introduced. We will note the date of the most recent update at the top of this page. Continued use of LinguaReaders after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
